Betdany`s Airport Diner in Block Island

Copious quantities of chow while you watch the planes come and go, with the incongruous addition of a full bar - theoretically and hopefully NOT for the visiting pilots. We had breakfast here, which ran $30 for just two of us. But, there aren't many such places left at General Aviation airports nowadays, so Bethany's is a fun throwback. I would imagine that on the weekends in the summer, it gets crazy busy. There is very limited seating too, so you may find yourself standing around or eating in your plane (if you have one).

Nice, chill place

I remember the old place that used to be at the airport. It really wasn't very attractive. But Bethany's has done a great job and now it is a prime destination fly in for Pilots who want a great breakfast and visit to the island. Park your plane, grab a bite, and take a taxi down to the beach. A great way to spend a day at Block Island. They get high ratings for fixing the place up to what is now, a very attractive restaurant

Food is always great here and it's not too busy because it is out of the way for day trippers.

Bethany's is open for business!! Great place to dine and do so.e plane watching! Outdoor seating adjacent to the ramp. We always enjoy grabbing a quick bite on our way to or from the island.

God I love Bethany's. Well worth the walk if you're trying to get to a local place. Planes coming in regularly and these people just make you feel a home again.

Good spot on the island

Great little diner located inside the block island state airport, diner is inside the airport building. They serve breakfast all day and lunch items as well. Great old school decor that fits the atmosphere. You can eat and watch the planes come and go. Food is great, always come for the breakfast!! Prices are spot in for the type of place and quality of food.

Nice little dinner, good food, friendly staff.

Good food and service. Enjoyed the quiche. The fruit was fresh too. I would recommend this place for breakfast or lunch.

Ok sooo I grew up coming to this place but it is expectable the way they blaintintly lied to us. We waited 45 minutes to be seated then another hour to find out that are food wasn’t even on the grill. Before we left a waitress yelled yes yelled at a table across from us for complaining about waiting 1h10. It’s unfortunate because some of my BI memories came from there honestly I would give them 0 stars at this point😤

Absolutely amazing food, service and if you have kids. A great place to eat and see planes and helicopters take off and land. Highly recommended

An awesome diner experience on an island which is pretty hard to find.There was a wait when I arrived but the waitresses were very helpful in allowing me to put in a to go order. The diner is in the same building as the airport You must walk through the main lobby of the airport or walk around back. The sandwiches were very satisfying, and would definitely go back.

I actually liked it a little better when they were in the older (now rebuilt) airport terminal, but it's still a place worth going to. It's a popular place that fills up quickly (both inside and out) on nice warm days.

Great airport diner. Breakfast was great and served quickly. Along with the flight people coming in for food there are island residents there also.

They were open in the off-season and had some awesome breakfast combined with some top notch hospitality.

Every year I make sure to stop here for some brunch! Without a doubt the best breakfast on the island.My SO and I went for some late-morning breakfast, and we were seated quickly, for how packed it was. We mentioned to our waitress that we had to be out in 45 minutes to watch some family leave on the ferry. It wasn’t a problem, but 30 minutes later, we saw our food delivered to another group. Our waitress must’ve been new to the gig, as she messed up a few orders... and confirmed with our table neighbors. They had to redo our order. Likely an anomaly, but hope things will be a bit smoother next time! Looking forward to bumping this up during our visit next summer.

First time here for breakfast on BI this past summer with my group of friends. The place is usually pretty busy but it worth the wait food is delicious

Great breakfast and choices of food. Also very friendly..highly recommend.

Best breakfast. Pancakes, grilled corn bread, fluffy scrambled eggs. Everything is hot and delicious. Staff is friendly and very personable.

Great for kids who love airplanes! You can sit right next to the runway. The food was great and they're super accommodating. I asked for no toast or hashbrowns and for veggies instead and they were very happy to do it. Great good and service. Good cub of coffee as well.

The local maps that they hand out create confusion on how to get to this nice casual resturant. It is inside the airport its self. The maps make it look like it is on the other side of the runway. The summer seating is both inside and outside and you can walk the small aircraft and helicopter tours comeing and going as you eat. The food was good and the airport is up on a flat piece of land leveled of. If you are riding your bike up from old harbor be patient with getting up the hill it is worth it.

I just have to say this was a terrible experience. We waited 45 minutes for our table and another hour and 45 for our food. When we asked if our food was coming they then told us they haven’t even started our food. The people across from us had asked them the same thing and a waitress went over and yelled at them.

Good food, good prices, good service. Very nice people.

Ok honestly, it was a referral from a friend. First time there. Service was good, friendly, quick and efficient. The burger was 2 stars I've had worse but they charged us extra for onion rings and they looked like they had been cooked in leftover airplane oil. Black, dried out, greasy, inedible --- I would have been to embarrassed to serve it. Everyone away my take got the same disgusting slop on our plates. Wouldn't go back, ever......

We have no complaints about Bethany’s Diner after our recent visit to Block Island.. It’s typical diner food at a reasonable price, served by a friendly staff, and set right on the runway of the local airport.. We ordered breakfast food and were more than happy with our meal.. It’s definitely a bit of a “greasy spoon” but it delivered exactly what we expected. The kids loved watching the airplanes taking off and landing.. There are also several outdoor games set up for kids in a small play area just off of the deck.. Definitely family friendly.. If you’re looking for quick and easy diner food, breakfast or lunch, stop by Bethany’s Airport Diner for a bite!!

Best breakfast and eatery with a down home cozy feel. Loved the great service to us outside contractors working on the Island during off season. Locals are great...and yes, I remember Erin as our wonderful hostess. See you soon again when we return...looking forward to more awesome apple pie.

Great food at good prices.

Just flew in for lunch. This is a picture of the steak and cheese sandwich. It tasted better than it looks. My friend had the BLT and said it was delicious.

The service was terrible, the order came in phases and we had to pull out the menu to remind her what we should still be receiving. Find a different place.

Amazing food. Cute little place. They have amazing brownies and waffles. Even their vegetable burrito is in point 😊 reasonable prices too. Must visit in block island

Fun spot for breakfast! Loved the back patio watching the planes. Only reason why I'm saying 4 star is because service was a bit slow. Food was great
